Visiting the cliffside gardens at Fort Bragg, California, I was inspired to make a cut away vest so show all of the color and splendor of the blooming Iris and wild flowers that Spring!
Nuno Felted, garden inspired silk wrapped between two layers of merino wool. Various floral designs were lightly pre-felted and then cut out and laid over the base color of the vest-kit. Silk ruffles out of the collar and hemline of the piece representing the light green of the grasses and ocean waves we saw that morning.
